Hello Kitty Donut Squishy

As Beauty/Kawaii Bloggers, I'm pretty sure that we all know eBay is the holy grail of cute shit for cheap prices. Am I right ladies, am I right?! Wanting a new key chain I came across this beauty. A Hello Kitty Donut Squishy! I'm not even a fan of HK (I prefer rilakkuma), but it was so cute I could not sleep with out buying it.

I purchased this squishy from a US seller named: splendorabc. The squishy itself was $6.99, which is an okay price for such a product, but then shipping was $2.50, that's what made me a little mad. Shipping from China is usually Free, so why is a US seller charging $2.50 making the squishy almost $10?! I mean like, it wasn't even sent via priority mail, it was first class and took about 5 days to get to me. Can you believe this was one of the cheapest I could find though?

Let me stop griping. This person sells variations of this squishy. I went with this one because, it stood out to me the most! There are also other versions of this exact donuts where the sprinkles are different colors.

Honeslty, I do not actually know if this is a licensed product, and it wouldn't bother me if it wasn't. I'm not a collector nor a stan, so eh. If it was fake, who'd know? Would you call me out on buying a knock-off squishy? Haha, I think not. The tags look pretty legitimate, but you know everything can be replicated.

I am impressed with the quality. The sprinkles seem to be almost embedded into the squishy. They don't flake off, and even with a decent tug, they adhere to the material. Also, it has that classic squishy smell, sweet like bread.

Ebay ladies, the home of cheap goodies.

Fancy Fingers - Amanda's Nails and Spa Review

I am officially done with my first year of college -sheds fake tears of joy-. Thank the heavens that it's over. Compared to last semester, I did quite well. 3.2 GPA.
I'm back home now, and my granny gave me some extra spending cash just because (you gotta love cash giving grannies), so that plus my academic success, I decided to go and get muh nails diiiiid~

Can you tell that I'm excited? I am, because my fingers are fancy AF and it didn't cost me my entire life savings. I got them done at a little rinky dink salon so blandly named "Amanda's Nails and Spa". Yes, the owner's name is Amanda. I discovered this nail salon after scrolling down my facebook news feed. I their page on my dash and they plastered pictures of not just manicured nails, but UNIQUE nails with 3D nail art!
Out of all the salons in Houston, only a fraction actually offer 3D nail art. I was instantly intrigued.

I have the cutest room of them all [Clark Hall Dorm Tour]

JEEBUS! I can't believe it's been a whole entire month since I've touched my blog. :'( It saddens me, because I  never have time to just do what I love the most.College has been good to me, though it keeps me busy 24/7, I am enjoying myself. This is the first time my social life has EVER been this good.

Anywhoo, I wanted to share with you guys my dorm room, and to any incoming freshman of UNT who want to know what the dorms looks like. So here's my dorm room tour of my adorable little side of the room in Clark Hall at UNT aka, University of North Texas. :)

Cuuuute right?! Black and turquoise are my main and only two colors. My room back home was 100% turquoise, so I decided to switch it up a bit. I wanted a some what sophisticated, young adult vibe (pretend the bows don't count). Since I'm in college now, I decided that the girly-teen-girl feel was not what I wanted...at all !Most of the girl's rooms that I've been in  have some type of animal print or paisley....I wonder when they'll grow out of that.

The Panoramic view
As you can see, our sides are completely different.

For future dormees, if you can choose the side of the room that is farthest from the door! You get more space, and you don't have to deal with slamming doors, and you get control of the window, which is crucial if you're a blogger. :)

I had my mind made up that if I was going to put any type of posters or pictures on my wall, they had to be in black and white. and for a while, my walls were naked until my school had this fabulous poster sale! I bought a poster of San Fransico and a FAT ASS poster of Audrey Hepburn! :D Like how I spiced up Audrey by giving her a nose and Monroe piercing?

Alsooooo, I have my favorite quote of all time by my favorite artist of all time! "I"m the drug in your veins..." from the song What you Need by The Weeknd. <3 I swear 9/10 girls dorm rooms that I've been in have some cliche quote like "Live, love, laugh." "Faith and Love" "Love and Happiness"...you get the idea. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's just severely overdone. Where did all the originality go?

I bought all of my fluffy pillows from Ross and Walmart, and also the throw blanket. The bows, little candle holders, and beads are from Hobby lobby. Hobby Lobby is the mecca for cheap dorm decorations! Go there first before wasting your time else where.

My desk area that I spend so much time at. I don't know how I lived with out a desk for so long, my productivity has increased ten fold! I put all of my personal items in my desk as well, because I came with a crap lode of stuff. I have everything a girl needs in there. Hair products, skin products, body sprays, oral hygiene products, etc.

My closet. The mirror required me to drill no halls into the walls/door. It came with two metal bars that allow me to let it hang from the top of the door! :D The closet is decent. Has enough room for one person and most of their belongings. The sink area. Meh. It's just a sink.

Here's a different angle! Overall, I adore my room. I cherish the time I get to spend in it when I have time, besides sleeping, especially when I'm alone. My only problem I have is that they're expensive, the walls are as thin as crackers and you can't control the temperature. I will definately be living in an apartment sophomore year! But for now, this will surely do.

Here's a video if you prefer live action:

Cherry Skulls ☠

I know it's about to be fall and the cold seasons are quickly approaching, but I can't help myself when it comes to off season shopping. Not only does Hot Topic have the CUTEST swim suits you'll ever lay your eyes on, but they're also crazy expensive. I remember I visited HT during spring break and I just wept on the inside because the set was $40. But now I'm happy, because I bought this rad ass modern pin-up style swim suit for not even the price of a burrito at Chipotle.

This is so special, it deserved it's own post!

This swim suit couldn't be more perfect. For one, it has skulls on it! I heart skulls! Hellooo, Glitter SKULL?!  And they're adorable cherry skulls at that :D. Two, the bottom part makes my booty look big! ;) lol, and 3) The ruffles on the top give it a pin-up-esque feel & we all know how I'm a wanna be Josephine Baker. I can see myself sporting a red bandana with this suit on, laying on the beach. Can't wait for next spring!

And to think, last spring I contemplated buying this for 40 dollars. Hot topic marked down the price to 6.99 each, which ain't bad. but then get this...For labor day weekend they marked down the price to $3.50 each! So I bought this bangin' cherry skull swim suit for only $7.58. I don't think you can find a swim suit this cute for so cheap. I did good y'all. :')

Betsey on a Budget! ❤

Ross is good, Ross is great. Ross has designer brands at low rates! :D
Heehee, like that?

If you see a designer product at Ross that you like, I suggest you buy it the same day, because it will gone the next! Lucky me, I snagged this Betsey Johnson Laptop Sleeve/Cover/Bag/Briefcase for only $21 something dollas! I saw it at my local Ross one day, and when I came back for it, some other person with great taste bought it. :( Thus, I went to about 6 other Ross's to find it. and there it was all cheap, and pretty and pink. When I tell you I snatched it off the rack, I SNATCHED IT. off. the. rack.

Y'all do know Betsey Johnson is going out of business right? I'm pretty sure this is an authentic piece...Perhaps it can pay for my tuituion on day. o_o

The pattern is wicked!
Anchors, Stars, Roses, all the works
It is officially named Sail Away
That makes sense. ;P

The interior has a couple mesh pockets. Maybe stick your charger in it? Or a CD holder (psh, who has those anymore?).

Not only is it stylish, but it's functional. Fits my laptop with extra space to spare.

Look at all that mula I saved. and look at my turquoise nails. Today was a good day. Definatley.

What do you say when you answer the phone?

Kudos to whoever keeps making all of these unique iphone cases. Ebay makes them so cheap, that I pretty much change them out like ear rings. I tend to stray away from the typical boring rectangular cases, and lately, I even distance myself from the 3D cases (Stitch, Rilakkuma, etc.), because every one they're cat's mom is starting to get them! And there I was, thinking I was original. -_-;

But I am now, with this totally rad "HELLO" iphone case!

You can find this on ebay as well, but I have a good ol' chum who let me have it! :D Because she knows that I am a broke college student, who can't spend all her hard earned refund check on frivolous things. Thanks Natalie!

I'm sure you can find this case on ebay for less than $15. I'm not sure of the seller, but just google Hello iphone case, and it results should pop up. This case is made of silicone, but not the cheap kind. This is that thick, sturdy, industrial silicone! >:)

This case is going to last me a while, for sure, and it's protective, so I can be clumsy. and it's freaking pink! What girly girl does not love pink? YEAH?

and this was your daily dose of cute shit from glitter-skull.com :)

Olsenboye Floral Canvas Back Pack

I'm getting my vintage on y'all!

This is the only piece of merchandise worth buying from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's fashion line. I'm not a fan of their "boho chic" over-priced-cheap-looking clothing, but this back pack is friggin' eye candy. Why a back pack?  you ask. Because I'm going to college! I'm going to be toting around boring text books! A purse is not an option. But don't get me wrong, I like purses too. :)

The Olsenboye Floral Canvas back pack has four pockets. Two sides ones, one front one, and then the main compartment.

And it has glitter straps! GLITTER. STRAPS. GLITTER! GLIT-TER! <3 :)
Not only that, but unlike other cute-sy backpacks, the straps are really thick and durable. Therefore, I don't have to worry about running to class and all of a sudden, a strap snaps while my laptop is inside! That would be painful day.

Yaasss, the back pack is white. I plan on scoth guarding it before I put it in use so it'll stay clean. The pattern is really lovely! It's not granny-ish at all, the glitter straps add that teenage appeal.

The side pockets are extra roomy and really deep. They have clasps that open and close them.

I thought I was going to struggle putting my laptop in, but thankfully I didn't have to force it! It's big enough to fit a standard sized laptop, perhaps a few note books and one medium text book?

This is not a puny little accessory bag. This back pack is stylish, yet it means business! It's roomy, sexy and functional. You can snag this at JCpenny for $30. Just be sire to tell them I sent you. ;)

Don't eat that! It's my phone case~ :)

As some of you may know, I am becoming an avid lover of unique iphone cases. I've had the Rilakumma, Korilakumma, and the Stitch cases, but I'm sick of those! Everyone has them now, people in my class, people at the store...just ugh. I even spotted some being sold at my local mall. And so, I found the most creative case...ever!

It's a bread case! And not one of those fake looking ones, this is as realistic as it gets.image It is complete with synthetic powdered sugar and sesame seeds. It even smells sweet like bread. Ebay is your best friend for little knick knacks as such. I purchased this case for 3 dollars and something cents with free shipping! WHOOP~ But of course, it came all the way from Hong Kong and shipping took like a month. Totally worth it tho

As far as I know, this case is only compatible with the iphone 4/4s. It's not necessarily silicone, but it is a "squishy". Its so protective too, with all that cushion, I'm not even worried about my screen being cracked. I t's that type of material where if you drop your phone, it's bounces back.

It has all necessary holes and the buttons are surprisingly functional. I love this case.
It's so funny when people look at me stupid when I plug my headphones in and "listen" to it, and that one time when this lady gave me the side eye when she saw me plop what she thought was a piece of bread into my purse so casually. AHA, and that time when I was talking to my friend and I swear this lady thought I was schizo. It's fun fun fun!~ The reactions are priceless.

"Oh bread, you so crazy"

The only down side is that some of the sesame seeds falls off randomly and the paint (?) is peeling on the front. But hey, you get what you pay for. :)
